gulliver, TTT is not, as you say, taking the pee out of Scotland. He is, quite rightly, criticising its leader. Going by your logic, every time you criticise Boris Johnson, which is frequently, you are criticising England.
If she is going to hold a referendum she should be prepared to lay out for the Scottish population what it would mean if she was successful. For example how would she fund the Health Service, Police and emergency services. Where would the money come from for her to continue offer free prescriptions and University places. There are many other things that should explained including what it would cost the average Scot if they were to become and Independent Nation.

b) advisory or
c) both
Not simply tear up hundreds of years of history on a marginal victory based on the unhappy (from many Scots' perspectives) coincidence of recession, Boris and Brexit at this instant in time.
Of course, it's hard for Boris to argue such terms when no such thought was given to the Brexit referendum.
@15.40.To be fair it was Sturgeon who said the 2014 referendum would be a once in a generation vote.I would say a generation is about 21 years.Alec Salmond said it would be once in a lifetime.A bad mistake from both of the nationalists.
Traditionally a generation was reckoned as 33 years. However, I accept the point that in areas where they breed young that figure may be substantially reduced.
