Still quite relevant I’d have thought in the UK in light of recent events and I’ve noticed commentators usually pointedly say it’s against “all” discrimination.

Teams get fined if the players do it and the players (Could) themselves get fined by their teams. The NFL came to an agreement with the team's that the players didn't have to be on the field for the national anthem, but, if they do take the field then they HAVE TO stand.
