Apparently this person is devastated that they broke covid lockdown rules.

Why do we have more news reports of persons who are devastated (to find out) that they had robbed a local bank?

As she is such a headline grabbing, botox injected, bit of mutton if it really was an "emergency" she would have alerted the press beforehand ...nothing like a good photo opportunity!
Now Eve, don't hold back hear :0///
eve1974 is jealous because Amanda Holden is successful, talented, and gorgeous - three things I'm willing to bet eve1974 isn't.
It heavy Desktop.
Bit.
He isn't Desktop Sqad.
LOL sorry Desktop/Deskdiary.
Must have been some sort of emergency though. Why the hell else would you want to drive all the way to Bude, for one night, in the middle of February?
Same sort of person who wears an evening dress to put out the bins?
Amanda Holden is a good looking woman, just saying.
Don`t really see what that's go to do with it. I saw her at the bus stop once - not wearing and evening dress but shock horror, dressed completely casually.
burleshirley - whilst some wld agree - I just doubt that it was an emergency (I realise that only she and her parents know the truth obviously) ... I'm sceptical. I suspect she's only devastated she got caught
Anybody who cared about a parent instead of being attention seeking in public or hypothetically on AB would have help with the parent in minutes.

Anybody with any sense would then make the decision about whether or not a journey was needed.
Were it needed it would be an acceptable journey.

But to take that course of action one would need to be sensible, caring towards a parent and capable of thinking.
Let’s face it, it’s not considered an acceptable journey because of who it is.

If anybody on this thread is prepared to say they wouldn’t make a journey following a distressing call from a loved one, I’d say they are a liar.
And anyone who doesn't get immediate help for a loved one is an uncaring person. Whether or not you decide to make the journey is another thing.
You don't leave a distressed person for that long unless you know it's not a genuine emergency.
Think i'll wait for her to erect a table in her garden and throw a press conference before i pass judgement :-/
Blimey Gness, you’ve used a lot of words and not actually said anthything.

I assume you think I'm wrong.
Driving 200 miles on todays roads in bad weather will take 4 to 5 hours. If my parents had an emergency, whether it's a burst pipe or a heart attack, they would need the relevant help as soon as possible. Waiting all those hours for me to turn up on my errand of mercy could make the emergency a tragedy.
Yep mate, you're wrong.

I obviously care for those close to me (I guess you don't have anybody close to you - quite sad nobody cares for you,

Amanda Holden raises a lot of money for charity Eve, so not quite the waste of space you would have us believe.
