Not often I see where Nicola Surgeon is coming from but she's restricting all international travel going into Scotland , perhaps she's right? that all four countries should go with this?
A young SA man landed here today as his work visa started from now, he was sitting next to someone on his flight who came from a country NOT on the Red List, breathing the same air , touching the same seat etc yet he had to quarantine, the other person did not

Not enough hotel rooms? Unable to police movements of many thousands more each day?

I'd imagine there's lots of loopholes then Bobbin ?
There is presumably a lot less international travel coming in to Scotland.
Re the anomaly you mention, the SA person has been in SA presumably and the person beside him on the plane has not so rather than quarantine both, the other person should just be on a list of contacts nothing more. I don’t know if that happens.
But in general there are a lot of issues with this and I am not sure it will work properly
Am not really sure on this bobbi. For scotland its quite easy to make everyone quarantine as they get so few coming in. For england and wales there so many international big airports. But am puzzled as to why were still getting flights from Ghana, Pakistan etc
the fluffy commentators decide on their view and go out and look for support. there is quite a lot that is written on spread of disease on an aircraft - surprisingly rare.

TB for example - none on air con and direct contact was those touching ( sitting beside and fore and aft) the index case. oh yeah you cd measure the effect of air travel if ..... the passengers on the flight only came infected at the rate of the places they went to.

did anyone hear the prof of epidemiology and stats
talking about the economic effects of lock down
oh la dee dah - a cobbler should stick to his last

Actually he said he was two seats away from another passenger, and two metres away from people in the queue on arrival. Presume he was wearing a mask in the building as instructed and the other people were too, so no more at risk than any of us in a supermarket.

And some continually prove themselves to be rather slow of mind.

Question Author
Bobbin, don't feed him, he's a serial derailer :0)))
Surely this needs moving to Chatterbank? Once again a perfectly good thread in the News Section has been ruined by someone who makes a habit of it. Why is it allowed?
Question Author
Exactly LB, gully does it time and again , makes a mockery of a news item
Apparently they need 28,000 hotel places. They have 4,500. Not a good start.
Question Author
Is that all, it's never going to work
