It said on the news that Prince Charles has never visited his Father before when he's been in hospital, and he travelled from his home in Highgrove which is quite a distance. Hopefully Buck House might give us an updated statement on the Duke.

I feel sad. The Queen and Duke were married the year I was born, so have been quite significant to me throughout my life. When either of them are no more it will feel very strange and a bit empty. We are at the end of an era!

It would be - except that in this case ' a son' is the heir to the throne, and 'his sick parent' is the Queen's Consort, so that rather eleveates them above the status of a son and his sick parent, and that is entirely down to us, the British public, and our insatiable desire to know what the Royal Family is doing every minute of the day.

Read that Prince Charles looked to be tearful on leaving the hospital after visiting his father.Hopefully Prince Philip can make it to June 10th for his hundredth a milestone for him and a cause for something to celebrate in this difficult time for the country.
