there has never been an assumption that one has to be "worthy" to have a title (worthy in who's eyes anyway?) just look at some of the lords we have (lord archer of weston-super-mare springs to mind easily)
also, with hereditary peerages, it makes no odds what sort of person you are
An argument now for leaving them in splendid isolation. Let them enjoy their amateur dramatics with an American audience and, rather like the Duke of Windsor and Wallace living outside Paris, let them enjoy life without an extended family. The Firm won't forgive them.
NJ, it has been often noted that the Queen always refers to Prince Philip as the head of her family. It has nothing to do with the constitutional monarchy.
danny, I wonder if the conversations between them and the queen will launch the Oprah Show, part II?
Naomi. I very much doubt that.
Thanks for the link to Lady C, choux.

I agree with her entirely.

Mozz, I lived with a liar for years and though you might say everyone lies sometimes I don't think that is true. Certainly, the liar that I know did a great deal of damage.
You can never believe anything they say.
None of the family have anything more to do with them.
Very welcome, Gill.
danny, given their performance, why would you doubt it? Liars can never be trusted. Those two are loose cannon - and they don't have the welfare of the royal family in mind.

Gill, I agree with you.
I wonder if a lot of people, especially her supporters, forget that Meghan is first and foremost an actor, capable of expressing and conveying any emotion required for the part she's playing. I believe she is playing a part.
choux - either it's a "family" matter in which case, why is anyone sticking their beak in?
or it's a "royal family" matter in which case Prince P is not the head of the family and should not be dealing with it
Yes Vulcan, she is an actor. And an actor's job is to play the role invented for them by a scriptwriter. So who do you suggest is writing her script?
Naomi; "Liars can never be trusted." Yet we have one as PM :-/
Gill, I'm sorry you've suffered at the hands of a serial liar, that couldn't have been easy, but I stand by my statement that everybody lies at some point, not necessarily huge stonking porkies, but embellishments or little fibs. As I said, none of us know what was true in that interview, or what was false, and to what level.

We'll see in time. The truth will eventually out, I'm in no doubt, but until then, I have an open mind.
Mozz // As I said, none of us know what was true in that interview, or what was false, and to what level.//
I agree with you entirely.
Naomi, I don't think anyone thought Meghan was particularly smart. She never seemed to be Mensa worthy to me.
I see Meghan as a narcissistic liar as she shows the classic symptoms. No idea how she will continue with all of this now as I cannot see her successfully defending herself or recanting any of her accusations. Harry has little chance of coming out of this well, no matter how much he loves his wife.
Choux //Harry has little chance of coming out of this well//
The Queen might disagree with you,Check link at 10.53
It's good to see that HRH is reaching out directly to Harry, and I hope things can be sorted out amicably. If that is true (it is the Mail, so who knows?), It indicates to me that what they said about being on good terms with Harry's Grandparents seems to hold water.
ken, you are suggesting that an actor can't be a scriptwriter and vice versa. The two roles are not mutually exclusive.
//none of us know what was true in that interview, or what was false//

We know of at least 2 falsehoods - her passport was taken but she managed 13 trips abroad and her child had no right to be a prince because of his lineage, not his colour.
