...why don't they wait for the outcome of the "trial"?

That's got to be a joke right? It was terrible way the man died, but I'm a bit tired about it turning into a race issue; the only person in the world who knows whether it was a race issue is Chauvin, and he's hardly likely to admit it. Another view, of course, is that Chauvin was restraining a known violent criminal. The thing that irritates the bejesus the most out of...

Deskdiary - // I think what we all know is that if Chauvin is found innocent ... //
He will not be found 'innocent' - he will be found 'guilty' or 'not guilty' which is the legal process.
It is perfectly possible to be found 'not guilty' in court, and still be light years away from being 'innocent'.

I must be the only one on here who couldn't give a stuff how this thug died ! I watched the video and he was resisting the police all the time and when he was thrown to the floor they had tried calmly to get him into the car, to no avail. If I remember rightly he was drugged up as well which wouldn't have helped his death. I feel sorry for the charged officer whose life must be hell now and I sincerely hope he gets off.
Depicting Floyd as an angel (as some memorials have) is sick in the extreme.

The fact remains that being a 'thug' does not mean you can die violently at the hands of the police and nothing being said or done about it.
If the police are not subject to the same laws regarding violent death as the rest of us, then what's the point of laws, or indeed police?
The law has to apply to everyone without fear or favour, and this officer is deemed to have potentially acted illegally and a result of that, a man has died.
That merits investigation, and has led to a trial, because in a civilsed society, resisting arrest should not lead to death.

Sqad - // Andy.....I agree with shirley in the entirety of her post in that she couldn't care a " stuff" how he died. //
Then she and yourself, and myself must agree to differ.
If I hear that some has died a violent death, I am unable not to 'give a stuff' - but as I say, we differ on that attitude.

As usual, I am utterly unable to respond to any point that there might be hidden in your incomrehensible babble - precisley because it is, as usual, hidden, and I am not minded to waste my time trying to figure it out.
If you want to try writing in plain English for once, I will be happy to debate any differences in opinion with you.
In the mean time, your nonsensical posts will continue to be ignored.

burlyshirley - // andy - I couldn't give a stuff what you think of my opinion either lol. //
In my experience, people who hold opinions of the type that you offer almost always feel obliged to point out that they don;t care what others think about their views.
That's another difference, if I genuinely didn't care what anyone thought of my views, i would regard them as pointless, and would not bother expressing them.
I assume I am not alone in being singled out for the advice that my opinion about your view doesn;t matter - I am sure that applies to everyone, unless of course they agree with you, but who wants to be agreed with all the time, how boring is that?
