Deeply Saddened To Hear About The Murder Of Sarah Everard
Forgive my ignorance but after a week I thought there would be a body. It appears remains were found and she had to be identified by her teeth. Can anyone explain ?

The body (or remains of a body) was found in a builders bag. Dental records were used for identification which means what they found was unrecognisable.
The murderer routinely carried a gun in his job. CCTV footage has him forcing Sarah into his car. This is how he was quickly arrested and the body found.
(He was reported to the Police for indecent exposure a couple of days previous, but despite CCTV footage from the McDonalds, the police let him go. Had he been arrested over the allegation, Couzens would automatically have had his “blue ticket” firearm licence revoked and suspended from duty).

Thank you for that link, khandro. It was shocking and an eye opener. I'd no idea that the homicides of women over 60 weren't included in crime statistics. Older women know they become 'invisible' in many ways...but that is inexcusable.
I think the Sarah Everard case is drawing so much attention because it is concentrating on issues of safety, and loss of personal freedom to move about at will, and without fear.

I think the reason this murder is drawing so much attention is because a serving police officer has been arrested for this crime. A lot of murders are committed by someone the victim knows and if her boyfriend had been arrested, I don't think there would be as much interest as this happens a lot, but because it was a police officer, it came as a shock and I believe the public now want to know why did this happen.
Demonstrators and police are hissing in the wind if they think they can stop murders happening, they've been happening for centuries and will continue, and governments / leaders of other countries are the biggest culprits. Most times your life and safety is in your hands, its nothing new for night time to be seen has more dangerous, and if you choose to walk for 55mins alone at night whether you be male or female, it can be seen, and is risky.
I can remember as far back as the 60s my mother telling me, and warning me to be back home before a certain time and not to be coming back on my own. Sorry but that's life.
