Scotland only has one destiny. It isn't a viably economic entity so will always rely on subsidies (English or EU) unless they learn to live without all the freebies.
would you remain in NATO? ....and provide the comensurate military? Would you construct a border? In the interim would you seek to prevent an exodus to the UK?
Technically, one could argue that the Queen is more Scottish than English what with James VI becoming James 1st when the two thrones merged - allowing for her Germanic roots as well.
"Would we need a hard boarder if Scotland rejoins the EU? " - the EUSSR would demand it as a condition of joining, they'd also demand you join the Euro.
all the people that don't want to be Indpendent, what happens to them, i suppose they could always move south.. and perhaps the hardline Scot Nats can move back up to Scotland, those that currently reside in England. or don;t you see that happening, that everyone is going to love not being part of the UK anymore.
I suppose they could! Or they could stay and contribute to an independent Scotland. You could apply the same logic to the people who didn't want to leave the EU. They could always move to an EU nation.
i give up. its no good, i can't understand where you, maggie, anne are coming from.. to be Independent, but you won't be in the longer term, if you join the EU -
