Archie's Skin Colour
Could this Royal be the one whom Harry (mis)quoted?

Still don't understand the nit-picking or how it is relevant to the topic.

If a poster states something on here they are usually asked to provide a link. I started this post with a link and most could not be bothered to listen to it. How did some of you ever get your homework done - your parents did it for you? For those who got so bored so easily I wonder why you bothered to open the thread. I thank Barsel for bothering to watch the video.
I have not suggested that Lady C is a Royal. However, she is a socialite who networks all the time and I accept that her knowledge of what's going on is better founded than anyone's on this thread.
She does explain exactly what Princess Anne is reported to have said about Meghan Markle. Lady C also takes the time to show the differences between Anne and Meghan which makes the story credible (as if that was necessary). In this world of "spin" Lady C explains why she is doing this now and with the agreement of her source.
Incidentally, I see that the Archbishop of Canterbury has repudiated Meghan's claim that she was married before the ceremony he officiated at, but we knew that already.

well Oprah is 17 million richer - not sure whether that is bucks or spounderoos...... This is absolutely ridiculous to even speculate as all families speculate as to hair colour and the rest - look at the parents, the grandparents etc and then postulate. It's part of the family fun along with baby nicknames - my God daughter was nicknamed after a sensitive part of the female anatomy ending in s - and she hasn't been harmed by it - anything but, she's a shitte hot lawyer!
As to Meghan, she probably got the wrong end of the stick as she has done between her 'opinion' of expressing vows vs. marriage in front of the Archbish Oilwell and, secondly, over the line of inheritance and titles - I'm surprised that PH didn't correct her on this one, the only mitigating circumstance being that she blurted it out and he didn't want to be seen undermining her on TV.
In short, Lady C should get back in her box and nail it down.

It is very unusual for a divorcee to adopt the ex-husband's first name, though. Just as Diana was no longer Princess Diana after her divorce (she was Diana, Princess of Wales), this woman's correct title is Georgia, Lady Campbell//
I don't think so, Barry. When it comes to Lords/Ladies, it depends. Ladies who are born as such, have their own names. Those who have married Lords, technically are Lady "his first and surname" as it isn't their own.
It's like anyone called "Mrs" (wife of) should only use it with their husband's first and surname. It's much less common now, but still technically correct.

If I had married a mixed-race girl, she became pregnant and someone asked about the baby's colour I wouldn't have taken offence. We all know that black babies are cuter than white babies anyway. And if they had meant the remark to cause offence, or if they were just inappropriate, so what? Meghan's arsenal of barbs is just contrived to win sympathy, empathy and dosh. Quite sure she has endured far worse remarks from her fellow countrymen and women.
naomi, was your post at 07:49 meant for me rather than "Choice"? Getting my name right would have been courteous ;)
Assuming it was: Anne supposedly said that Meghan was the wrong sort of American, never mentioned her skin colour, said from the off that Meghan was the wrong sort for Harry, the Institution and the country. Anne, supposedly, always objected to Meghan on the grounds of character and personality - an absolute misfit.
