the passing of a good, kind man, the fact is he was the Queens stalwart companion, , and now that he has gone, who will fill his shoes. Luckily she has a large and loving family, i hope they give her the comfort she deserves.
“The Moving Finger writes; and, having writ,
Moves on: nor all thy Piety nor Wit
Shall lure it back to cancel half a Line,
Nor all thy Tears wash out a Word of it.”
As I have said before, all just speculation. The Royals, particularly the Queen, will have given no reason for her decisions - Never complain, never explain.
And if someone from teh Royal Court has blabbed they can expected to be out on their harris real prompt.
I remember when he came to the factory where I worked in 1972 - Vitafoam in Middleton. We spent weeks cleaning everywhere but he hardly went anywhere, just a short walk round. Anyway, there are important birthdays this Saturday so The Dook doesn't get a look in!
I wonder if having the brothers separated is a cunning plan to avoid the press getting pictures of them together with sullen faces on an occasion when smiley faces and light-hearted conversation isn't appropriate.
Given the way that royal protocol offers silent cues about what is going on within the Family, I dont think there can be any doubt that the brothers are being distanced on purpose.
If they wanted to sent a silent cue to the world that they are moving towards mending their relationship, walking together would have done that perfectly.
The fact that they are not indicates the opposite.
// not sure why the reference to The Big Bang theory? moving finger epsidose//
because a previous entry is
the moobing finger having write moves on
and not a jot of it etc...
jesus AB is (sometimes) like a class of uninterested 11 year olds....
Family members at loggerheads are obliged to meet up at times like this and just get through the day as best they can which means as little contact and communication as possible - hence Peter Phillips will walk between the brothers. Unfortunately for Harry and William they have to do it with the eyes of the world upon them - and that can't be easy by any means. It’s all so very sad.
people can be irrational at a funeral - and hey on a normal day on AB too ! - one man asked me: "how did you know someone was going to draw a gun at my grandmothers funeral?"
poss answer - because her name was Kray.....no no
I said because it was in Jamaica. - luckily er this one is in Windsor.
Not noted for armed men unless they are in the army or something
Looking at the plan of where the pallbearers will walk beside the land rover it makes sense, in my opinion, for William and Harry to have Peter Philips between them. This way neither of the brothers have a position directly behind the land rover
I did watch the funeral - one of our grandsons was round, and he wanted to watch it with his nan, so I sat in as well.
I did notice that on the walk back to the castle, Harry was taking to Kate, so it's clear that communication lines are open - hopefully the brothers will start sorting things out between them.
Houdini couldn't have timed that exit from the Chapel into the Royal vault better - very impressively done. The vault is not his final resting place as he's to wait for the Queen to expire and the two of them will then be laid to rest in the King George VI memorial chapel, an annexe to the main chapel, this small facility housing the remains of the Queen's father George VI, her mother the Queen Mother, and the ashes of Princess Margaret.
