Could it possibly be our TROB approach to crime and non-punishment? Surely the savage should not have been out on the streets in the first place. Blaming the security services is like blaming the sheep dog for not rounding up all the sheep after you let them out.

AH, if he killed because he was a psychopath you must concede that an awful lot of psychopaths adhere to Islam. Furthermore, Islam cannot be compared to any other religion and until apologists acknowledge that, the world is fighting this appalling philosophy with one hand tied behind its back. People like you do no one except Islamic extremists any favours...

It's all part of the same systemic failure. Either lock him up, or let him out and keep tabs on him. But don't let him out and then leave him to his own devices ...
appalling case, let him out and don't keep a track on him. I can't understand that at all.
are we calling the conservative government the right on brigade now?i never would have guessed it of you TTT. after all they've had 11 years to sort it out

bednobs: "are we calling the conservative government the right on brigade now?i never would have guessed it of you TTT. after all they've had 11 years to sort it out" - err no, we are calling out the TROB induced non crime non punishment system. Only recently have they had enough majority to sort it out and the focus has been on a the pandemic for that time. They need enough majority or wet tories and their lefty liberal anti British collaborators will block it.

The Tories may have been the government since 2010 but they have not been in power. They've had only slim majorities or had to get in bed with the Limp Non Dems.
//err no, we are calling out the TROB induced non crime non punishment system. //

we are on the verge of the truth - imprisoning people for non crime.

It is obvious that a) you cant follow everyone
b) you have therefore to identify who is a danger
c) they arent very good at b
d) in that you expend lu-lu watching people who dont do anything and you let others frooda net thinking they are safe
e) the watchers need more lu-lu without a guarantee that people will be safe

where is NJ - we need some official shoulder shrugging and hand wringing and pious phrases that officials do their best and often have a clear run frooto Very Large Pensions !
// the Limp Non Dems.//
o god I have almost read it all - the Limp Non Dems were svengali (*) puppet masters working the Tory puppets....
who is it that says Righto!
in order to ridicule a unfathomably gormless one liner ?

(*) - Svengali = bad, uncool
The mistake is in giving terrorists and their sympathisers the benefit of the doubt - ever. Once under lock and key that’s where they should remain.

my point exactly naomi, no idea what 2P is on about but when did anyone?
Those who commit terrorist crimes are hardly likely to be deradicalised while serving their sentences. In fact, the opposite is more likely. So, yes, no matter the level of terrorism, a life sentence without parole should be the only sentence available to our judiciary.
// no idea what 2P is on about but when did anyone?//
oh
1.foo ! there are very bad people and some just bad

New Judge - // The religion itself is misogynist and regressive and no facilities or encouragement should be provided for its followers at all. //

So is Christianity, but we appear to be stuck with that.

There are reasons why you can advocate that Islam has no place in a (nominally) Christian country, but playing the misogyny card is absolutely not one of them.
Mr Khan didn;t kill people because he is a Muslim, he killed them because he was a psychopath.

The two are actually mutually exclusive, although when you read the endless threads on here, it's difficult to keep that in mind.
//...but playing the misogyny card is absolutely not one of them.//

Sorry, Andy, but Islam and women don't mix.

Yes we are stuck with Christianity as well. Personally I would proscribe all public manifestations of any religion - whatever the creed. You could practice it with your friends and family in the comfort of your own front room (with limits on numbers) and that would be that.
New Judge - // Sorry, Andy, but Islam and women don't mix. //

No need to apologise - I would not argue your point for a moment.

i would only point out that Catholicism and women don't (doesn't?) mix either, but entirely take your point - religion should by like fetishism, conducted behind closed doors by like-minded adults only.

Mind you - thinking about it, in some ways, it already is like fetishism - all that dressing up, male exclusivity, and frequent devient behaviour, it's all there!!!

Furthermore, Islam cannot be compared to any other religion and until apologists acknowledge that, the world is fighting this appalling philosophy with one hand tied behind its back. People like you do no one except Islamic extremists any favours whatsoever - and they are laughing at you.
> you must concede that an awful lot of psychopaths adhere to Islam

I don't have the numbers, do you? In the UK ...

* What percentage of psychopaths are Muslim?
* What percentage of Muslims are psychopaths?

I would guess the numbers are small in both cases, but perhaps you have the actual data?
