Nhs Medical Records
has anyone heard of this before, as you have till June 23rd to opt out. I will be telephoning my GP first thing, isn't this a total breach of confidentiality, your medical records up for grabs.

Had an example recently where my brother was about to be treated from my medical records at hospital, when he was alert enough to spot the error (by which time my confidential medical history was revealed to my brother, something which I did not want to happen.)

YMB: "The form is 'buried' quite a way down which is either pretty disgusting way of trying to stop people opt out or sheer incompetence. Knowing NHS IT probably the latter which is why I am opting out." - yes as much as I am a fan of the concept of the NHS they are known to be terrible with software so I suspect it's simply poor design rather than an attempt to make it difficult.
// I am sure it has been discussed on here before too in the past week or so.//
discussed - as in scored 500 mindless 'foos'
yes you should opt out
the whole record goes to a thrid party
you dont know
money changes hands ( not into your hands)
it is pseudo anonymised ( your name and address is there somewhere)
yes the offer closes 23 Jun 21
and finally
yes some MPs are mounting a court challenge on th usual
( lack of consdent and breach of confidentiality)

well, I've tried to fill in the online NHS form. I got to a page that said I would receive a security code by email, which would have to be used within 30 minutes.
30 minutes later it hasn't even arrived yet.
I suppose they could have popped it into the post to me. But a week or two back I received an NHS letter by post. Just a report of a consultation I'd had, sent to me and my GP. But though I got it in late May, the actual date on the letter was early April. And the consultation was in early February.
So two months to write the report, and two more months to send it. This is why, much as I like the NHS, I don't really trust them with data.
