...and before you on about it, AB may technically be social media but it's a mere sliver of what goes on on twitgramtubeface etc.

It could be if they're attempting to get nudes from a minor, or sending random richard-pics out.
Are you sure about that?
It is, zacs. This is mostly about unwanted male behaviour- which should be taught well before puberty. It isn't about girls or leaving Social media- that is just one tool used.
Sending pornographic pics to a minor? If it isn't, it blooming well should be.
It is. It's not about hormones either. Girls have those too. It's about teaching your children about respect and boundaries.
I stick by my point that hormones in young boys (and some girls, undoubtedly) don't always respect teaching and education.

Decades ago it would be hoping over the wall of the local girl's school but, as with many aspects of life, the internet has changed this too.
Zacs, that isn't an excuse. I'm 47, my fb account is private and set only to family and friends- that I only add that I know. I get DPs regularly. Six in one day. Neither asked for or consented to. Not my responsibility. Or FB's.

'Zacs, that isn't an excuse.'

No, it's a fact. You know, one of those things that, according to you, can't be challenged!
I've just canvassed my family and not one has ever got a DP.
2 years and 4 months in prison, restrictions on his internet use for 10 years and 10 years on the sex offenders' register

It isn't a "fact" zacs. It's allowance of certain behaviour and lack of education.
TTT, read the thread, you'll work it out... you like acronyms :-)
DP- a photograph of Mr Van Dyke.
"DP- a photograph of Mr Van Dyke."

Dutch painter?
Dick pics, you morons :-)

I'm obviously missing something here. If I went somewhere where I was being continually bullied or harassed I simply wouldn't go there. The answer to this problem is in the girls' hands. Simply avoid using Twitter or Facebook or whatever, do something useful with your time and let the creeps and weirdos slog it out among themselves. Imagine this:

"Every time I go down Rosaman Street I get insulted, spat at, and roughed up by a bunch of creeps.."

"Do you have to go down there?"

"No."

"Then why do you keep going there?"

"Er...er...er..."

No, it isn't, nj. I can't believe you say the victims should go, and the bullies should stay.
Oh dear.
NJ, in your example, why should the innocent party have to make the change rather than the guilty parties be prosecuted?
