teacake - // But not ever seen regarding Blair. // I for one have been a vociferous critic of the war-monger for decades, and lose no opportunity to say so whenever his name is mentioned on here, and I am far from the only one. I would respect him a lot more if he had the dignity to be ashamed of his actions, and keep quiet, but he still pops up with his perma-tanned...

There are two people who should not sqeak a single word about this, and hope that people will forget that it was their self-aggrandising desire to be writ large in history that led the world into this debacle in the first place, so they are directly responsible for what is happening now.

One of them is George Bush Junior, who for once has had the grace to keep his pointless nonsense to himself.

The other ...
ooo that's a toughie Andy!
Pot kettle, kettle pot.
TTT - // ooo that's a toughie Andy! //

I know, but a man of your calibre can work it out!!!

LOL!!
How do you know none existed ? just because the looker
did not find any does not mean that there were none there.
The Kuwait invasion was repulsed & Kuwait secured BEFORE Bush Jr decided he wanted regime change in Iraq. Just saying.
Perhaps Mr B Liar can explain why the files into Dr David Kelly's death have been sealed for 70 years.

Poor Clare I think our forces would have found them had there been any
Saddam was not a threat to the West after he was kicked out of Kuwait. He was a monster but he was suppressing Islamic extremism & keeping Iran busy. Big mistake overthrowing him.
I believe Poorclare is right on that - Iran, Turkey or one of the Stans, even Pakistan.

However, where Blair and Bush were naive was over the British troops discovering a mass grave for 5k folk in Basra early on in the war - now if this isn't mass genocide, what is. If it isn't what the hell were we doing in the Balkans? This incident alone justified the Allies going in.

Another faux pas then davebro?
then explain this record of atrocities...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mass_graves_in_Iraq
(And I am no Blair fan or of the Shrub).
remember this P-Eye cover - one of their best... https://www.private-eye.co.uk/pictures/covers/full/1096_big.jpg
Question Author
I remember it well DT
OK - compare those atrocities to the half a million or so who died directly as a result of the Iraq invasion & those who have died since because of it.
not quite good logic, davebro - after all the 1st World War started with one assassination and how many million died?
Are you talking about Afghanistan or Iraq?

“ Perhaps Mr B Liar can explain why the files into Dr David Kelly's death have been sealed for 70 years.”

Read David Aaronovitch’s book on conspiracy theories where he comprehensively debunks the Kelly murder idea
I still don’t agree with the Iraq invasion DTC but I heartily agree that there’s a lot of tripe spouted about Blair.
The invasion of Afghanistan in the other hand was fully justified.
