My granddaughter just received a sms text appt. for tomorrow. She is up in Porto for ten days so cannot go. We were not going to give it to her yet in any case. Because of her riding she does official online schooling. Will probably discuss again around xmas

Note we are not anti vax. All adult family members have had theirs

well, children fare better with the virus than adults, and the majority of the vulnerable now have vaccine protection. far better maybe to start sending vaccines to unvaccinated nations? unless the whole world is protected, it's almost inevitable that a new mutant will come back to bite western society's backside.

I should think that if children do get covid, they then contribute to herd immunity. Surely a good thing.

To be honest I cannot think of a single good reason not to do this. We’ve been lagging behind other countries on it.

If they decide to do it they would not be overruling the JCVI.

The JCVI only look at health considerations.
The politicians have to look at other factors, such as the effects of repeated self isolation on schooling.

Similar to all the MSM and Government coverage, the Guardian gives this woolly and imprecise interpretation of the data/statistics, and we have scientists disagreeing on "the science".

It becomes obvious that until EVERY individual in the UK and the planet is inoculated this 'vaccinate drive'- and SARS-CoV-2 variants? - will not cease; but unfortunately no vaccine has successfully been able to eliminate any corona virus.
Hopefully "the science" will provide the solution.
