I read the other week the reason given was males and females had to be educated by teachers of the same sex.

There is a shortage of female teachers and one suggestion was men could teach from behind a sheet but I have no idea if anything is being done to rectify the situation.

It's the difference between normal Muslims and Islamic fundamentalists. Most Muslims, certainly most outside of Asia, don't agree with, or support ISIS and the Taliban.
