I saw a man on benefits being interviewed who said he doesn’t work because he likes to spend his time with his young son. I’ll stick my head above the parapet and say he’s workshy.
I agree with Bobbi. The able should be made to work for their benefits. That might encourage them to get a proper job where they would earn more than they get in handouts.

Who would be responsible for identifying the workshy?
What criteria would they have to meet in order to fill current vacancies. Also would you take away the ability of firms to employ the best people for the job in question and instead devolve responsibility to the DWP?
Would you take geographical location and skillset into consideration? There may be jobs aplenty for C++ developers in Bristol but that won't mean much to Val who's just been made redundant from her job as an accountant in Carlisle.
