....so lets stop letting the THB drag us down and get on with getting back to normal. No special measures are needed, just get on with it. Yes the link is a few weeks old but there is no reason to believe the data has changed.

Agree that its mainly affecting them but unless we can persuade more to get the second jab it could still cause knock on problems if the numbers in hospital keep rising and it stops resources. Also infections might not be sending most infected to hoptal but the rates still mean many worksplaces and schools have high absense levels which can have knock on effects for teh economy. Its a balance is'nt it
Problem is, the ONS works out the figure for unvaccinated based on the 2011 census and the population figure is out of date.
The difference between fully vaccinated and unvaccinated is a lot nearer using different population data. Both are probably wrong, the true figure is somewhere inbetween.

This ridiculous notion that wearing a piece of damp rag around your face will prevent a virus spreading needs to be done down for what it is - a cynical ploy to make further controls more acceptable. No pandemic has ever been treated like this one and in ten or fifteen years' time the world will look back and wonder why on Earth it was.

I'm double-jabbed and am now Covid free having tested positive a couple of weeks ago. Other than the ball-ache of having to WFH, which I hate, I didn't have any ill-effects at all.
Granted it affects people differently, but for the vast majority of people, at best it's just now a bit of an inconvenience.
