Of course we have respect for her, Naomi. Noone has been disrespectful. Nicknames by family are fine. Noone on here has referred to her as Cabbage, i wasjust amused by what her husband called her. She is human, and am sure her nickname from Philip amused her.

Whilst her name might be Elizabeth, if I met her I would call her "Your Majesty" followed by "ma'am".

I don't think that there is any disrespect intended. Most of this is nothing more than terms of endearment.

In terms of endearment - my 80 years old aunt and uncle - called each each other "Boy" if she wanted him and if he wanted her he called her "Girl".

well, she's not on her way in; but her mother passed 100 and I wouldn't be surprised if she does too. She won't abdicate, she believes she took the job for life. But this means her heir has been hanging around like a mini-me for more than 70 years, rather a wasted life; and in due course William will do the same.
