She's surprisingly active for 95 - now is the time for her to take it a lot easier, bless her.

The Queen Mother had a hip replacement when she was 95 yrs old and I wonder if this is the problem the Queen is having, with arthritic joints.
No horse riding, not being able to walk the dogs, cancelling engagements because of the walking and standing about and of course her use of a walking stick in recent weeks.
When seated on her zoom calls, she doesn't look 'ill' and resting with pain relief might be all she needs.
I do think it's very morbid of those of you who think she is about to die any minute.
They said when she went riding recently she complained of backache and she was seen with a walking stick. Perhaps it’s just the old bones getting tired.
i wish people wouldn't refer to her as Betty....
It said it is her "firm intention" to attend the Remembrance Sunday service at the Cenotaph on 14 November.

It is also mine. I have just received my e-ticket from the RBL. You will easily recognize me as I will be the one without a facemask.

Also, this weekend, a friend of mine celebrates his 98th birthday. A veteran of Arctic Convoys and awarded The Ushkov Medal by President Putin only last year. He has already made plans for his 100th party and has invited half the nation!
Yeh but she's yer Queen aint she? YER QUEEN MATE!!
(Think Alf Garnett) Wot? Who's Alf garnett? Ferf ferf....
she is not attend the Remembrance service nor concert i don't think, told to rest for two weeks.

emmie, they said yesterday she won't be going to the Royal Albert Hall but is determined to be at the cenotaph for the remembrance. She'll just watch from the balcony I expect as she's been doing in recent years. No wreath laying for her.
I personally don't think she is on her way out. It was obvious that Philip was the last time we saw him alive because he looked terrible, but the Queen doesn't yet look like that. In my opinion she is just resting because she has a busy year next year and I bet she hates it ! I'm sure she'd much rather be on the go all the time, bless her. I too can't imagine life without her in it, I have grown up with her as Queen and she has got better and better with age. I know I'll miss having her as our Queen and I know I'll be sad, as I was when Philip died. I hope she takes care of herself and does as she is told.
They’ll be a huge void when ‘Elizabeth’ goes , I’d never refer to her as Betty either, it’s disrespectful!!
Best wishes to HM from all Scottish ABers.
All?
Are you sure about that ynnafymmi???
I waved to the queen when she visited Oldham circa 1953, waving a lag, lol.
Me too ( not Oldham ) then again in 1977 on her Silver Jubilee
I see we have a new spokesperson for Scottish abers. Jolly good .
wishing a 95 y o to get better, - - better than what
no I was in the crowd ( in the Crown) when Margaret got in a temper and whizzed frooda Darzetters on the way to Weymouth and on the way back, made herself available and no one turned out!

( cows to tend, chickens to feed - - pigs to swill etc )

I remember that day as she and the D of E drove up Oldham Road through Ancoats, just a few yards from where we lived. That's the nearest I've been to Her Maj!
ah, you should have laid down your coat over puddles she would have had to walk through. Arise, Sir Clarion!
She is a lovely lady and doesn't deserve Betty. Have more respect you weird tweeter.
