Emmie I’m not saying Boris hasn’t done good, he has, facing the worst thing with a pandemic on top of steering us with Brexit and I voted for him, he’s let his party and those who did vote for him by backing both Paterson and Cummings, both should have been sacked immediately
I always vote as a matter of principle in that it's wrong to waste a vote. If the party I prefer has given me a good reason to not support them I will vote for one of the independents or ,even, a silly party. The message is that they are not fit to vote for.
agreed...
that was to Bobbi's post ^^
" backing both Paterson and Cummings, both should have been sacked immediately"

And don't forget Matt "Hands Face Bottom" Hancock -
"Nothing to see here" crowed Johnson, when it was plain to all that Hancock would have to go.
He will misjudge the mood of the voters once too often.
The question is would the parliamentary party dump him before an election. He is still good value for drumming up a sense of optimism in an election campaign, but then again, that can soon start to sound hollow.
Johnson should go, I voted Conservative, not for this ludicrous virtue signalling dash for net zero carbon and all the economic pain it will cause. The fact that all three main parties support this lunacy makes voting at the next election very difficult.
I voted tory this time around after years of voting labour, for obvious reasons - I couldn't imagine voting for Corbyn EVER !! But, I have gone off Boris a lot and probably won't vote tory ever again and unless labour sort their act out (unlikely), I won't vote for them either. I don't trust any of them now, sadly.
//I'd prefer Sunak, on the whole. Or Starmer. Just somebody honest.//
oh I would like TTT - mad as a hatter but honest as a die
most of the papers are following this thread
1. maladroit
2. badly misjudged - and COP and cabinet reshuffle achieved without difficulty
3. MPs dont learn at the gallop or in a crisis
4. any MPs now think - Jeez what DID I vote for
5. we thought they were all sheep and the voters arent ! oops
"so what's your alternative... and what do you mean where we are?"

they have all been eliminated now because of Johnson (or rather because of his supporters)... but Rory Stewart was right there. Experienced, intelligent, had integrity... but Tories backed Johnson instead despite being warned about his duplicitous character numerous times...

The same thing happened with May... Tories were worshipping at her feet and then were appalled that all the warnings from the left about her proved to be true. Well, now we're stuck.
Modern tories remind me of communists who point at the ussr and say "it wasn't real communism!!!"

constant lying, backtracking, corruption, gutting of services, bigotry... "it's not real toryism!!!!"

it is. And you keep voting for it!!
she's turning tuuuuurtle !

but this is AB so perhaps she will er turn back tomorrow
yeah but no but
they didnt vote for communism....

Brezhnev doctrine - the rationale of the czach invasion
