Oh do give over, anne. An intelligent woman having her bottom slapped 20 years ago isn't suffering a 'long hidden trauma'. In fact she's not suffering a trauma at all. I'd hazard a guess that most of us have experienced similar. We get over it. She's muck-raking.

The thing is its likely she would not have been believed and blacklisted.
It has happened to several hollywood actresses when they have spoken up and even an actor - Brendan Fraser was blacklisted when he spoke up about an incident and is only just coming back after 15 years in the woodland

I wonder if the eight (so far) posts either dismissing the accusation as OTT, or dismissing Ms Noakes as either an attention-seeker, or seeing financial gain, speak to the wider attitudes of society, and discourage women from raising such incidents at the time.

If a woman is going to be scoffed at by other women, as naomi is happy to do, for not being able to shrug off the unwelcome attentions of men, it's little wonder that more do not come forward and attempt to address this appalling behavior, and subsequent attitudes from society in general, and won in particular.
