Is Johnson Ok?
He seemed to me to have completely lost the plot. I heard he's had a cold all week. Hope he hasn't got long Covid.

I don't think he will be the leader for much longer -just as long as it takes to find a real 'Breath of Fresh Air'. Ignoring the Boris babes on here, the country is becoming very disappointed in Boris and his constant 'U' Turns and broken promises. His new proposals re Care Home Fees are not going down well with a lot of backbenchers, and once started, it does not take long for the Gilt to peel off the Gingerbread.
I wouldn't want to persecute him just on the strength of this one incident, but as I said earlier it's a very bad time for him for this to happen.
His star is certainly in permanent decline: the one thing that may save him, should he wish to be saved, in the 80-seat majority. But this is really a terrible government. There are Tories in parliament know who would make a much better fist of things, but most of them were sidelined when he became PM. That is so redolent of what happened to Labour when Corbyn took over there: most of the good ones left or were overlooked.
