I listened to the First Minister yesterday. She spoke without faltering throughout and was clear, concise and precise. She answered all the questions head on and had evidence and robust information to support each response. Compare this performance to our Prime Minister’s recent embarrassing rambling.
I am full of admiration for Nicola Sturgeon.
I think she’s great, she fights for what she believes in, speaks and presents well and doesn’t suffer fools gladly.
I for one am totally fed up with the impression that England has that they are they are the only ones that pay into the U.K. economy.
In fairness, anneasquith, people who read your posts may be forgiven for thinking you dislike the English - and rather intensely. I've never seen you write anything to indicate otherwise.
As for Nicola, she gives me the impression that she regards herself as a latter day William Wallace - the hero liberator of the Scots. Fortunately though any hanging, drawing and quartering of her will only be metaphorical - but it will come.
Oh well Helen. No evidence that TCL and I asked for has been posted. The post from Shirley I found aggressive and nasty.
I will go talk with humans ( some may even be English ) :-)
Unfortunately a lot of us here in Scotland feel we are being misrepresented by the Sturgeon rhetoric of griping and grievance. The SNP is certainly extreme in its Woke policies and its adherence to the Stonewall line on transgender issues.
She plainly is not a bigot, whatever you may think of her.
She is also a democratically elected leader and at the mercy of the electorate like others similar. I think that Scotland could do with a different party in charge but Scotland disagrees with me and so fair enough.
Pat // Then why did you post what you did APG? It had nothing to do with the thread.//
Of course, it had something to do with the thread. It was an observation on how NS is perceived and how it seems to beok to critizine the FM on here but tnot the PM.
