Who Wants Masks?

Boris announced yesterday that masks are to be made compulsory again in shops. In the summer he said that there would be no going back on the relaxation of measures. Face masks are a complete waste of time given the way that most people wear them so how many will join me in this little bit of civil disobedience and refuse to wear them?

Christmas here is going ahead, at the moment but don't know what will be required of visitors. We are asked to test if we plan on meeting with those we have not seen for a while. Then from 2nd Jan all pubs, bars discos and nightclubs to close. Schools stay closed till 10 return would have been 3 but online school for all private international schools. Gyms etc. closed and offices to reimplement working from home. Most bars etc usually close in January. Many Restaurants also but those that open will require to see proof of vaccine status

Have you read some of my posts about Johnson... cant stand the man...

I do care about the truth though... and inconvenient as it may be the science does suggest that masks - even cloth ones - are successful at reducing transmission of viruses... sorry :(
Been jabbed, muzzled and herded.
Thats what you do to farm animals....

ebola
meningitas
measles
mumps
tuberculosis
diptheria
shingles
chicken pox
hepatitus
etc

you can all freely mix with the above,
but not with Covid... a virus with over a 99% recovery rate and a disease so deadly that you have to be tested for to see if you have it!

You have to wear a face covering and keep been jabbed.
(Just in case)

Yeah, got it now.....

You might want to revise your assumption that you can freely mix if you have ebola
And the mumps, Nailit....you really don't want the shrinkage it causes, now do you? :-)
Back years ago, my mum tested positive for TB. She couldn't see my daughter...then just a toddler...for, I think it was, 6 months.
Mumps and TB are well treated now.

An experimental drug, varients of covid, more jabs, lockdowns, masks, etc are all that we have at the moment for Covid.
Not on a parr to a vaccine.
Not even a vaccine in the proper sense of the word.
Try 'clot shot' for those that have died taking it.
Not to mention those that have recieved neurological damage etc from it.

And can anyone tell me the long term side effects from it?
NAILIT, how many folk have died from clots having had the jag?

How many folk have died from COVID without having had the jag?
Diphtheria is highly contagious though thankfully rare now in the UK.
Corby....
How many people have died WITH Covid,
as oppossed to OFF Covid
How many have died from blood clots after having the jag?

If you don't know the answer, just say so.
I survived covid, it was the most horrendous illness I've ever had, so it's as much to do with suffering it as dying from it, thought I was going to die. Get your jabs, wear a mask if required, it really is time to grow up, just do it, there's so much of our short precious lives to lose, no one cares if you don't want to wear one nor even if you try to defy the rules, you only matter to yourselves. If someone gives me the impression something is beneficial, I'll do it, don't want that experience ever again.
I wonder how many of the anti-vaxxers pump themselves with illegal drugs.
I know a couple, Boto....then there are the drinkers and smokers who won't be vaccinated.
God knows where their brains are but certainly not functioning properly.
I believe that mask-wearing is somewhat of a cosmetic exercise, but it is clearly easily achieveable, and it ensures that the government can not ba accused of standing by and 'doing nothing' if cases rise.

Personally I put far more faith in the ongoing vaccination and booster programmes than mask-weraring, but it does no harm.

I do wish the media would stop publishing deaths stats - what exactly are we supposed to do with that information?

I also see it as an utterly innacurate measure of the effects of Covid, since it includes anyone who has died of anything if they have Covid.

Let's face it, if you have a month to live with terminal cancer, catching Covid doesn't really alter things one way or the other, but it does stick you on the governments's stats, and that is giving innacurate information for no good reason.
And there are now antibiotic resistant TB strains where vaccination is the only real protection if you get it it's isolation and support and hope your immune system can fight it.

Yes Covid is usually something younger people survive with minimal effects but to have it and pass it on to someone who couldn't be vaccinated for medical reasons who then may have a fatal illness from that transfer is unforgivable. I think the route to go down is lockdown for those who can't prove vaccination. Those who behave responsibly have the right to live as safe as it is possible to be for example in the workplace.

I am with you diddly (and so are my daughters -one of whom is a doctor).

The masks worn by most are worse than useless. And of course this ignores the fact you can catch the 'new' variant ion the supermarket but not the pub.

Johson is a ruddy clown.
Nailit, hate to disagree but the recovery rate is not 99%, more like 99,75% and most of the deaths are from people likely to die of anything they contract.
For those blaming Boris Johnson what is your opinion on this ?

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-59453744

Prime Minister Boris Johnson has called the new measures for England "temporary and precautionary" - and said they would be reviewed in three weeks, just before most schools break up for the Christmas holidays.
Labour has called for full implementation of Plan B and for improved sick pay to encourage self-isolation.

I guess those in the majority with a gripe against Johnson are Labour supporters ?
What do you think of their ideas to deal with Covid because they are more stringent than the Tories !
I am apolitical so have no vested interest
I just want to know how the Labour supporters feel it should be handled because it would be more far reaching than what Johnson is doing !
