They should be.... as it's almost always the safest and healthiest for the child... if in doubt. As I said before, it clearly doesn't include violence, abuse etc... and there shouldn't have been any doubt here.

The rules MUST be changed so that a child in danger can be removed forthwith, like the RSPCA can do with an abused animal - is it so damn difficult !!! Another waste of a truly beautiful child. It makes me so mad .....

Are you contrary purely for the sake of it ?

That is why groups like Fathers For Justice were formed

It's not contrary, SB. We know children thrive and do better with an average biological mother. That's the only person who is literally designed to understand their child best. Be as PC and "anti-sexist" as you like. But the fact is, men and women are different, and so are mothers and fathers. For good reasons.

Mothers aren't favoured. The child is favoured. And the mother is pretty much always best for them.

Is that easy enough for you?

But we know children in care often don't thrive. We know that successive governments have cut council spending. Paying someone to look after a child, either in a care home or a foster home, is expensive, and there aren't enough people who want to do the work. Austerity has a lot to answer for.

Babies will almost always find adoptive families - it's older children in care that are difficult to provide for.

Not always the point, dave. Babies aren't puppies, and emotionally ready to leave their mothers at a few weeks old. They take 14/15 years. So it is "always" going to cause some problems.
Sometimes, it is essential, like in this case, but it needs to be very carefully considered.
