Its just about being sensible.... if you want to of course. Decide on your priorities, avoid crowded places for long periods with people you largely don't know, ensure theres some ventilation, be outdoors rather than indoors where possible (eg at Xmas markets we avoided those huts where people are packed like sardines and sat /stood outside in , get tested fairly regular especially before a family gathering where vunerables might be present. Of course its common sense for those who want to be careful and make sure they remain well for the more important things like family on Chrismas day, but those who like to pretend to be confused will complane at the lack of clarity (just as theyd complain if theres tight rules on these things resticting freedom or picking holes in them).
But if you want to just carry on regardless thats up to you, its your choice, theres no compulsion to take care
