Agreed, webbo. But sincere thanks to the public who gave 250 mobile downloads to help apprehend the guilty. Ironic when you consider how the first duty of the police is to save lives...

to be fair ( hem hem after all this is AB!)
the charges were

riot, two attempted arson with intent to endanger life; two attempted arson being reckless as to whether life was endangered, two arson being reckless.

which is a little little more than riot

arson you get prison - judges always throw the furniture around at that
shoulda been attempted murder - 20 years
I definitely think it should be longer as well.
Perhaps its time to give these career criminals a choice-14 years in prison or this tasty cyanide pill.Win-win either way.
we've forgotten the mutilation and burning cocktail sticks under the
naaaaails !
Looking at the thug's previous, he shouldn't had been out in the first place.

It's long enough. If he did it in Portland, Biden would have had him out by lunch time.
@19.29.Nah,we just use that for IRA terrorist scum,Pete. For non-psychopaths we will use my method.
Doenst seem long enough to me(effectively 7 years), I thought Johnson was on about coming down heavy on those that attack the emergency services and in this case he knowingly tried to kill them.

On the other hand I'm surprised he got jail going on some of the recent sentences dished out by the liberal judiciary. He must have got unlucky and had a 'judge Jefferies' as the beak.
It would be nice to think that this odious individual will be behind bars for most of that term.
Although, I doubt that he'll be able to stay out of prison for long once he is released.
I suspect you are right JtH, given this person previous its highly unlikely he will contribute much to society and will spend most of his life in prison.

Hopefully he wont be treated with kid gloves by the wardens.
damn savage should never see the light of day again.
