If I was Boris Johnson I would be seriously weeding out all those who are managing to leak so much information and giving him such bad advice. Clear out the lot and start afresh with some loyal honest advisers if such a thing exists.

who do you suppose leaked this, Lankeela? It certainly wasn't Boris, since it make him look in more or a mess than ever. Realistically, it could only have come from Frost himself, as he makes clear his dissatisfaction with Covid measures..

Anyway, Lord Frost's action seems reasonable. He obviously has Conservative values at heart and the current administration hasn't. Unless the party is swayed by him and others of his ilk they can look forward to considerable difficulty at the next GE, rather like that they faced in Shropshire this week.

my opinion of Brexit is low but even I recognise that his was one of the most important jobs in the country, not one to be flounced out of because he doesn't like the idea of Covid passports.

Frost has lost faith in the project.
The process has got bogged down on both sides, and there is no resolution.
And Frost knows there can now be no progress while he is position. So good on him.

Lord Frost is a thing of Boris - such is life. Plucked he was from the shades of the diplomatic service ( a diplomat is an honest man sent abroad to lie for his country) - made a 'sir' and then a 'Lord'

Some time ago I posted (on this site) a précis of a letter published in PE, inviting readers to list any advantages of Brexit; one letter was subsequently published, listing I believe four supposed advantages.

Subsequent to this, further letters were published in PE, pointing out the invalidity of those supposed advantages – I refrained from posting these details on this site for fear that some Brexiteers might become suicidal.
