Has the world gone completely mad and, supplemental, when did Americans become arbiters of taste, style and decent behaviour?

I think you'd lose your bet." - Naomi was talking about public schools and you said you thought she'd lose the bet. So you disagreed that Eton was a public school, right?
Then you said....
"Why ? I reckon there is more chance that quidditch is played on the fields of Eton than an Ealing comprehensive ! Lol //" indicating that you did not think Eton was a public school and Ealing Comp was.

You are way over thinking this one
My post was about the assumption that quidditch was far more likely to be played in the upper echelons of private education with all their facilities than in some inner city secondary modern with a failing record on the Ofsted watch list
Try not to read too deeply into trivial posts that are just padding out a thread

Private was not mentioned. It's ok don't be embarrassed it's quite common to confuse Public schools and state schools.
You are the one confused
Maybe it is the private education in a public school that is throwing you ?
But well done for attempting to answer for naomi
She is a big girl now and can do so for herself

Stickybottle, You first mention the word private on this thread at 15:31 because it was clear even to you that until I pointed it out you thought public school meant state school. Too stubborn to admit you were mistaken or to stupid to comprehend, I don't know which probably both. I know it's folly to attempt to reason with fools. I'll leave you to your ego and ignorance. I'm new to this site, I was under the impression one could debate and discuss. I hope you are the exception rather than the rule.
