Anti-Vaxxers Hogging Hospital Beds To The Detriment Of Other Patients.
This example is from across the pond but I would be surprised if it isn't happening over here.

The anti-vaxxers refuse the vaccine, but not the treatment when the inevitable consequences arise - hypocrisy rules OK.
IMHO they should be barred from hospitals.

No doubt we're in for a spate of similar stories.
Like the Covidiot stories that people yukked up on here.
And all the stories in the US about the beds being jammed by Ivermectin overdosers (totally debunked but nevertheless served up on the aBBC 2 weeks later)

You could say the same about smokers, drinkers and those that don't wear masks etc etc. Only those that have rigidly obeyed the rules should be in hospital. That would pretty well empty every bed!
Smoking and drinking is a choice
Catching Covid is not and requiring hospitalisation can be massively reduced by having a vaccine
Provided they stand by their convictions and do not attempt to access treatment via the nhs I have no problem
Let natural selection take its course
The Devil take the hindmost

Having the vaccine or not is also a choice.
Treatment for avoidable illnesses is a difficult ethical question & I guess the NHS & NHS Trusts have people who decide these questions.
It is a choice
But as I said the ought to choose against asking for medical help if they feel so strongly
Be nice if the doctors and nurses had a choice too

I have heard for myself patients being told by surgeon/consultant that "until you stop smoking /drinking and lose several stone ..then I am not prepared to treat you " this was to a hugely overweight lady in Acute admissions..at the time she was surrounded by family all of a similar size clutching Mcdonald take aways and large bottles of fizz... she too was munching on a family size bag of crisps !!!

I do'nt agree canary. First because we can't distinguish between antivaxxers and those who either can't have it or where the doctor accepts there's a risk not worth taking ...just as we first thought with pregnant mums or teenagers.
But more importantly are NHS should treat everyone who needs urgent care and not have secondclass citizen's.
Its frustrating to hear the nonsense some antivaxxer's spread but all we can do is nudge them and let them decide in there own time when they see unvaxxed friends getting ill or dying.

Everyone should get the vaccine and I condemn people who think otherwise.
Nevertheless I’m alarmed by the number of people who think the unvaccinated should not be hospitalised. Shame on you all. It is in any case possible if a lot less likely that you could be unlucky and end up in hospital even if fully jabbed.

So a 40 year old antivaxxer with Omicron who has a good chance of recovery with appropriate treatment should be turned away
But if you are an anti vaxxer you should not be seeking treatment anyway should you ?
If your beliefs are so strong your courage and conviction should see you through should it not ?
You shunned the offer of treatment to avoid getting dangerously ill so you should stick with that choice no ?

Indeed you could but at least you heeded sound medical advice and doctors imploring you to get vaccinated
It has already been shown that medical staff are succumbing to compassion fatigue because of anti vaxxers

Anti vaxxers have a baseless argument and are preventing treatment for others due to their idiocy
