21:34, then your opinion is not even backed by you!
Question Author
21:33: Mozz: "Then you don't have a leg to stand on when it comes to whining about Gulliver. End of. " - well the double standards on the site have done that. It's clear that the site wants a certain approach so I'm playing along.
Monkey see, monkey do eh? Fair dos.
Opinions do not become valid by investing money in them. Your opinion is no better than mine because you are willing to gamble money on them.
Question Author
Gromit: "Opinions do not become valid by investing money in them. " - no but it indicats the confidence of the opinion holder in their own view
"Your opinion is no better than mine because you are willing to gamble money on them. " - It's not gambling if you are confident of your opinion, I am, to me it's not gambling.
Do not focus on the "bet" as a gamble more a measure of your confidence in your own opinion. How can you expect to win an argument when you don't even believe your own view enough to back it?
Question Author
mozz: "Monkey see, monkey do eh? Fair dos. " - more a case of if that's the way it's going to be refereed then I can play that game too.
TTT, confidence in your opinion is worth nothing. The world is full of such confident ones. You must realise that. ;-)
As long as you expect to be treated with a similar
level of respect as Gulliver does, it's all good.
Tora, you do realise that not everybody has a similar level of disposable income to you?
Question Author
well I thought I was the same mozz, you tell me often enough. Though I can do links.
Question Author
mozz it's not gambling if you are sure. You either back an opinion or you don't, if you don't then don't mouth off.
Perhaps Sir Keir will adopt a manifesto like this to restore trust in government: [ alleged to have exceeded 90 percent for over a decade]

You're missing the point Tora. There's no such thing as a sure thing when it comes to a wager. Even if I believed wholeheartedly that Labour would win the next election, I wouldn't take your bet. It doesn't mean I don't believe it, it just means that financially I'm not particularly well off.
//well I thought I was the same mozz, you tell me often enough.//

Well, at least you're finally embracing the comparison.
// You either back an opinion or you don't, if you don't then don't mouth off. //

Fortunately the site doesn’t work that way. A pauper and a millionaire have equal posting on AB. We don’t give a monkey about how much disposable income you have to spare.
Strange that TORATORATORA is so confident yet is offering only evens on the outcome of the next election.
..........For the attention of TTT.......

My old boss former Levy Board Chairman Lord George Wigg had a saying "I never gamble, but I like a bet".
