I think it's fairly obvious when he's lying (Castle Barnard eye test) and when he's telling the truth to drop other people in it (cheese and wine parties).

He seems like a fairly unpleasant character but that doesn't mean everything says he should be ignored.

He was the government's unpleasant character - some may even suspect he was under orders to dodge the truth about the eye test - but you have to weigh his claims individually. There seems nothing unlikely about the current one, given how many parties the party were throwing.

Yes he has a chip on his shoulder for sure, but a chip on the shoulder also exposes lot of truths don't you think. The need for revenge is still very strong.

When Cummings left Downing Street he copied emails, whatsapp messages, CCTV data onto an hard drive, and has all that.
Iti s safe to say he does not post damaging stuff about the Government unless he has the incriminating data to back it up.
ABers may not want to hear what he says, but it is almost certainly true.

The accusation is made, the government denies it, and then the photographic or email evidence proving it's true mysteriously appears shortly afterwards, thus proving that the denials were also lies.

You have to have a sneaky admiration for that kind of ruthlessness.
