On the lunchtime news, a conservative association chairman said the media's steady drip-drip was damaging Boris and the Tories. He was blaming the media for Bozo's problems. Johnson must know whether he was at any of these parties or received invites to those he didn't attend. Isn't there an appointments book or his personal diary? The furore could be...

I, personally, think Rishi Sunak would be awful as prime minister. He seems to be working to his own agenda and I think he would reintroduce austerity measures far worse than Cameron and Osborne had in place. Liz Truss, if what I read somewhere is true, seems to be on the verge of ceding to the EU the ECJ disagreement over NI. Boris Johnson didn't take us out of the EU, we are still bound to a large extent by their rules, their laws and still paying them large amounts of money. He lost interest in getting us out once he became PM.
the labour Party do have a hand in this abject failure in No10
sorry, ymb, there's no way Starmer told Boris to go partying in defiance of his own lockdown rules. It's our rulers' own arrogance that has got them into this mess.
Besides, there's no reason for Starmer to chase Boris from office; that just means he'd face a less tainted party leader at the next general election. If he's to be removed from office before that it's down to the Tories.

......Boris and his Crony Club.....then you ain't Blinkered. nor Tunnel Visioned .

What are you talking about jno? did you actually read what I wrote?
Hint: It had nothing to do with 'partygate' and was a general observation.
I know you dont think oppositions should help to push a Government, but I do. They were elected by people to represent them and that includes holding the Government to account not just sitting back and letting them get away with it.

ymb, I was responding to the quote which I carefully copied and pasted from your post. (Though I don't know why you think partying has nothing to do with it - what do you think prompted this thread? It's all there in the OP.)
It is not the job of oppositions to get rid of prime ministers. This is a parliamentary democracy, so it's up to the voter. Alternatively, his own party may remove him from the leadership when they think he's become an electoral liability; but that will be done out of self-interest, not the interests of the nation.
Like you I think Sunak would be the best choice. God forbid it's Truss.

To be honest, I'm surprised he's still hanging on ! When I think back to all the rules and regulations of lockdown, it makes my blood boil. People not being allowed to attend the funerals of their loved ones rankles the most, how awful, for them now to be reading this ! It seems he was laughing at us all when standing up on TV behind his little podium telling us what we can and cannot do, knowing he would be breaking all the rules if it suits ! Personally, I can't stand any of the others, especially Gove, he reminds me of one of Hitler's henchmen !!! Oh Boris, what HAVE you done .... ??
"/Pat, are you saying starmer and co are to blame ?/
To blame for the party a year ago! Of course not. What a weird question Anne?
But to blame for continuously investigating for more *** to stir up!"
You are blaming others for making us aware of Boris' actions but without their revelations, we'd be none the wiser would we?
Would you rather we knew nothing at all about the various events?
