there are times when you ( one) have been kicked around so much that when people say "hey you were ill treated, dja want your old job back?" - you say no

A good example of great political interviewing is Nick Robinson’s “Political Thinking”.
Currently interviewing Steve Baker.
Very enlightening and uplifting

years ago, in McMillan's day, a typical interview would begin "Have you anything you would like to tell us, Prime Minister?"

I'm in no hurry to return to those obsequious days.

Come to that, I also remember a front-page story on one of the broadsheets with the headline McMILLAN HAS A COLD.
