Sir Graham Brady is waiting for 54 letters of no confidence in Boris..... from MPs.
But instead he has received well over a thousand letters and they keep coming from disappointed Tory voters.
Some of these letters say they are lifelong Tory voters ,but will never vote Tory again whilst Boris is PM.
..............Some even say they will never ever vote Tory again anyhow......
\\ 21.44 Do you still send letters by post then in the backwoods of Wales.//
Why so scathing gulliver, you've already stated you have sent your letter at 21:21?
So is gulliver one of the disappointed tory voters? I don't think Graham Brady is going to be influenced much by emails from an anti brexit dyed in the wool labour supporter who says he lives overseas and don't have a vote
gulliver, complaining about Boris is no guarantee that the moaners will change their political allegiance. I moaned about May - and Cameron - but I still vote Conservative. I know it's all very exciting for you but do try to maintain a grip on reality.
The Tories hierarchy will do what they need to do to win the next election (whenever that might be). Labour will have internal struggles to decide which ideology controls the leader (union, socialist), more infighting than electioneering.
You don't get democracy, do you? Labour can't "elect a PM", mainly because they can't elect a leader who the voters trust - remember the "red wall", Corbyn saying they had the "best policies" after a catastrophic defeat. Not comedy, tragedy.

I didn't think that letters from the public have any bearing on the "no confidence" process in the Conservative party. Odd post.

They certainly meant something when David Davis mentioned them last week in his address to Boris !

It just seems rather strange to talk about letters from the public when they are not relevant to the internal processes of the Conservative party.

Do you know how parliament works ?
As has been shown after the last few weeks there have been conservatives the length and breadth of the country who have been furious at the shenanigans at Downing St and many have subsequently written to their MPs about it
When there is a cascade of such letters they will or certainly ought to have become a matter not to be taken lightly by the party heads
The amount of letters would certainly have been made known to Graham Brady and will no doubt concern him
Well over a thousand letters from the public showing no confidence in a PM sent directly to The Chairman of the 1922 Committee in itself is a rarity.
....or even a first in history.......
Means nothing gulliver.like with petitions it's easy to put something on twitter or facebok page or on any site with there agenda and ask people to write to a particular person. Am suprised it didnt get many 10sof thousands
