perhaps people didn't actually see it over that month; Netflix stream things for a long time.

Not having seen it myself, I won't judge it.
I also haven't seen it , I don't like what I'm reading though.

It's his career if he wants to go out blazing he may have done it.
Career ending I hope.
I really disliked Jimmy Carr for many years but last year saw him in a different light on a programme and started to appreciate his humour to the point I have bought tickets to see him at a venue local to me next month.

I shan't be going. I won't even sell my ticket. I don't have Netflix.
Who's Jimmy Carr?
a comedian Khandro, not one i care for at all.
Maybe the furore over Whoopi Goldberg has triggered this
i did see that too, appalling remarks by her.
what gets me is the audience laughed, cruel and unnecessary so called joke/humour.
She has claimed to be Jewish in the past, emmie, but given conflicting accounts of her choice of stage name. It's not the first time Whoopi has made anti-semetic comments, though
no indeed...
I haven't read the report in detail and I don't particularly like Jimmy Carr, but it's comedy (or as near as Carr gets to it). It's not meant to be taken seriously or literally. In a lot of stand up, anything goes. It's like going to a Frankie Boyle gig and complaining about the language. You know that you're going to get offensive material, so if it's not your thing you don't go or watch.

If it's someone on a chat show being offensive, that's something completely different, but this? Nothing to see here.
so saying that it's ok that hundreds of thousands of travellers, gipsies died in the Holocaust, and that's supposed to be funny...
The comedian went on to say a "positive" of the Holocaust was that thousands of gypsies were murdered. The comments were greeted with applause and laughter.
can't see for the life of me what's funny about that.
Only a pathetically crass mentality can offer that tasteless tripe as humour. I’ve gone right off him.

Whoopee Goldberg isn’t Jewish. Goldberg is her professional name.

It's certainly not something I agree with or find funny, but comedians have always used shock tactics to get a laugh. I remember Joan Rivers making 9/11 jokes a few weeks after it happened.

What stand ups say on stage, and what they actually believe are two different things. The act you see on stage is just that: an act.
Tasteless, inappropriate, but for goodness sake, he is a comedian and comedy often involves bad taste...remember Bernard Manning?

Not a big deal.
In the past she claimed that she chose that name as it is an ancestral family name, that her mother is 'Jewish-Catholic' and that she herself is Jewish.
I don't know if she is being truthful but to then claim that the holocaust wasn't racist because 'Jews are white' makes a nonsense of that.
Sqad, Bernard Manning's career also floundered because of his jokes, long before 'woke'.
