Now There’s A Surprise !

Prince Andrew is an arrogant buffoon and always has been, and on balance I suspect he probably did shag Giuffre, so he's paid her off to make the court case go away, and he will now forever be tainted. But... What happened to Giuffre wanting her day in court and it not being about money? Surely the fact that American civil cases are generally settled on the steps of...

bobbi^^^ I don't think you should call him a 'nonce',( kiddyfiddler, paedophile) . For goodness sake she was 16/17 years old, had lived with a registered sex offender for years. Not exactly a blushing innocent virgin. She was a highly paid career prostitute .
As for the Queen , I think she is strong enough to rise above being ashamed. She will probably have given Andrew a good tongue lashing and told him to sort himself out.
If anyone it's the children I feel sorry for. Guiffres' as well as Andrews.

As I posted a few weeks ago, ninety per cent of cases like this are settled out of court.
It does avoid Andrew having to stand up in court and be cross-examined, which would be wholesale disaster for him.
But it will always leave the huge question - if he was as innocent as he claimed, why did he settle and not see her in court to defend himself.
There are no winners here.

because it costs too much and takes too much time
and they may have said - "dont bother you are ruined anyway"
I had one dear old bagga say - "I am going to say I done it ( not a sex crime) as it gets it out of the way and the fine will not be large"
The magistrate said - "there is doubt. Are you sure you want to do this?" - - and then DIDNT throw the case out. Yup he found him guilty even tho he didnt think the old bagga had done it !

//She was a highly paid career prostitute//
Absolute rubbish, she was a victim of abuse who was living on the streets aged 14 and picked up and groom by Epstein until he tired of her because she was "too old".
She later met and married an Aussie fella, whom she been happily married to ever since.
If that's your idea of a "career prostitute" then you need your head examining.

I was going to challenge that view, and any others that will doubtless come along with the same response.
But to be honest, I am simply too tired of trying to plait fog putting a point of view to people whose cast-iron prejudices let them decide and pronounce on someone else's circumstances, based only on media nonsense and a deeply unpleasant need to judge and condemn complete strangers.
So thanks for picking up the baton - all power to you.
