Might any members agree with me that the war that Russia is waging against Ukraine has now reached the point where it could be called a "Scorched Earth" policy?
With the inhuman destruction of civilian areas, homes, hospitals, schools and infrastructure it seems to me that Putin has no interest in taking over the country as an invader. He wants Ukraine to be a country that will be unlivable in.
Now by attacking nuclear power stations and Chernobyl he appears to wish, in addition to the above, to make the country a "no go" area for decades to come.

that was in the end 20 sq mi of Tokyo

the last one ( this was only 1945 because the Yanks had to get near enough the home isles to bomb them) more bombs were dropped in one raid Tokyo than was dropped on the whole of London 1940-5 ( lorra lorra bombs that is )

Danny, approx 40% of bombs dropped on Dresden were the incendiary type.
