Tony Blair says the West have been too Timid against Russia over Ukraine.
And paraded that timidity for Putin to see...
I think it would have been a far tougher response from the UK had Mr Blair been in charge instead of .. The exuse the Uk has for a PM at the moment.

That berk would be happy to start WW3 or are you just playing the old Labour can do no wrong tune again.
Tougher in what way? An example might help us understand what you mean
Ah the Evil One is invoked.

Putin put back in the shelf …

Seriously it’s completely pointless speculating like that
I would have thought Blair could empathise with Putin in starting an illegal war.
Question Author
Blair would have handled this Russian lot far better than Johnson.
Now you know what a really illegal war and a real war criminal look like
I can't really disagree with him. The feeble response to the annexation of the Crimea does seem to have suggested to him that the West wouldn't get involved.

(What Blair's own response to the annexation was at the time I don't know.)

Boris is playing Churchill. We will sanction them on the Beaches , in the fields, in the streets in the hills , We will never Launder their money again.
Didn't know that you fell in to the B-Liar camp, gulliver....

Only if the president of the USA gave him permission.
Biden has now called Putin a war criminal
I am not sure if that will fell the walls of jericho
Bliar really is a gift that goes on giving - selfless, world-wise and er....
I was going to say that the timidity would seem to be emitted from Mr. Biden - but I see that I am already behind the wave of opinion. He has acted as an uncertain damper on NATO countries. I'm very glad that he is now being poked and prodded into understanding that bad things happen- even to peaceful people who don't provoke it.

20 46 B-Liar That,s an old one, can't you do any better
“ Peter Pedant
I am not sure if that will fell the walls of jericho”

Well think about it: how can the US now ever deal with Putin again. How do you accept the possibility that you can sanction a deal with someone you have called out out in that fashion.
The ICJ have effectively done that however today of course.
I don’t see that there can be a plausible negotiated settlement over Ukraine as long as Putin is there anyway.
So this raises the stakes, confirming it’s an existential battle between Putin and Ukraine.
Unless someone backtracks.
Biden ought to say more encouraging things directly to the Russian people. To date I don’t think he’s done that
Question Author
Meanwhile Boris is going to really punish Putin , by going begging to Saudi Arabia.
One war crim v another gully?
"Blair would have handled this Russian lot far better than Johnson." - is a "lot far better" better than "far better"?
As a member of NATO the U.K could not take unilateral action.Even Tony Bliar would have to abide by that.
