Maybe they think if Putin is backed too far into the corner he will resort to nukes. If his N weapons are in the same state as the rest of his forces there's not much to worry about.

There's been plenty of interference from the west in the form of sanctions and supplying arms.

It'll be fascinating to see what happens.
Russia is outmanoeuvred, outthought, outmoraled, outweaponed and quite possibly, in fact probably certainly, outnumbered.
Their tactics are bizarre, their strategy seemingly non-existent.
There's an airfield in S Ukraine that they've attacked and occupied no fewer than TEN times and every single time their men and aircraft have been obliterated. Now that really is the definition of madness.
If Ukraine's forces can avpoid being surrounded in E Ukraine then there is every chance of military victory.

A month ago Putin appeared to threaten nuclear retaliation on any country which “interfered” in his invasion.
Well, in the ensuing month scores of countries have integrated with his genocidal war and we’re all still here and will continue to be so.
Biden was right to say what he said and the White House were right to clarify that they aren’t actively trying to remove Putin.
But it’s hardly a secret that they would like regime change. I think most would
