"So sorry to have missed you both (not). Even at the age of almost 96 I still have to undertake many arduous duties. Of course I had expected some of the younger members of The Family to step in and lighten my load. Unfortunately most of them are busy keeping the engagements which you broke when you decided you wanted to lighten yours.
Do get your people to speak to my people before you pitch up next time, but I have to warn you, I have a very full diary."
