I would expect larger (more populous) countries to have more exports than smaller countries in general.

During Empire India accounted for about an eighth of all British trade. Today, it is less than a fiftieth. Since Independence in 1947, bilateral trade has steadily declined.
So there is room to reverse the trend, assuming there are goods we want to sell to each other.
