naomi - // Pat, I think there’s a lot of hypocrisy on this thread too. //

As I have said to Pat, can you point to any examples of that?
^Good grief! Perhaps you need a lie down!
naomi - // ^Good grief! Perhaps you need a lie down! //

No, I'd rather you backed up your statement if you are able, or withdraw it if you are not.
Andy have you looked back at how many times you've posted on this thread but more to the point the length of some of your answers? You've been like a man possessed on this subject matter.
I think Andy that we have come to the point that some people agree with your assessment and some don't.
Nothing much more to add.

No I haven't - but you have - is it not you who is perhaps like someone possessed?
Sqad - // I think Andy that we have come to the point that some people agree with your assessment and some don't.

I agree, the thread is reaching its natural conclusion.

But i am not willing to sit and have Pat state that there is hypocrisy, and for naomi to imply that some of it is coming from my direction, without challenging them for some evidence.

I will stand by everything I have said, and discuss my points with anyone who wishes to do so, I think it reasonable that others do the same.
Sorry Andy, bit your last reply to me is a lot of tosh. You make ridiculous comparisons!!
pat - // Sorry Andy, bit your last reply to me is a lot of tosh. //

No need to apologise Pat, if a view is worth expressing, it's worth having belief in it, and that means you don;t feel the need to apologise for it.

// You make ridiculous comparisons!! //

By all means point out where you think any of my comparisons are 'ridiculous'.

You can add it on to the post where you explain the hypocrisy that you seem to have found on the thread.
A.H. I think by your virtue signalling, you're making a 'La Scala Milan' production out of this trivial & rather lamentable event.
the Tory party don't seem to think it's trivial, Khandro, or he'd still be in his job. Sleaze doesn't go down well in the shires, far from the loose morals of Westminster.
I see a-h @ 12:48, 13:22 and 15:49 (and that is just on one page)
is on the lard diet again:
constant dripping wears away a stone.

One suspects your music talks have a soporific value.
Haven’t posted on this thread, simply because he’s resigned and that really should be the end of it without the forensic examination that’s gone on, but kudos to the reporter (and I hope it was on purpose) who said having opened it for the 2nd time he just “ploughed on”.

And as for bringing Hitler and the George Floyd murder in to prove a point about someone watching porn on the Commons ......

I give up now?!!

I don't think an elected Member of Parliament watching pornography in the House Of Commons is trivial, you may.

Clearly his constituents and local party, as well as the Conservative Party as a whole agree with my view, rather than yours, hence the scorch marks Mr Parish has left behind, such was the speed of his departure from his role.

We are entitled to expect the highest standards from our MP's who create laws that govern us, including those on the distribution of pornography.

As I have pointed out at length, it is not what Mr Parish did, it is the absence of judgement he showed in choosing the time and place to view his pleasure that makes him unfit for office.

I don't think that is 'trivial' at all.

If you do, you won't be summoning the energy to contribute further to the debate I would imagine.

Thank you Pat, I know what the word 'hypocrite' means, I am more interested in where you think you have seen examples of it on the thread.

// And as for bringing Hitler and the George Floyd murder in to prove a point about someone watching porn on the Commons ...... //

Clearly that is not an example of hypocrisy, but equally clearly, you have not understood the point I made with those illustrations.

I am not comparing those instances with the watching of porn in the Commons, I am offering them as an example of how society does not look at someone's good behaviour in order to excuse their bad behaviour.

// I give up now?!! //

Since you appear to have no evidence to support your assertion of hypocrisy, and you appear to be failing to grasp the points being made about the wider issues involved, that is entirely your choice, perhaps a wise one.
People who say tractor porn is harmless dont understand the damage done by combine harvestor porn
choux - // One suspects your music talks have a soporific value. //

For both our sakes, I hope you will never find out.
I think Andy's talks would be well received, but if you were bored you could always watch porn on your mobile....-;)
