The former attorney general becomes the latest to make it public that he has submitted a letter of no confidence in the Prime Minister.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-61636151

He must surely be getting twitchy over the number that haven’t made it known publicly.
Educated guesstimates have it at over 40 in total thus far. It’s obvious that even his own party don’t believe the guff that was spouted last week and realise that he is now their biggest liar-bility.
Doesn’t history show that such matters usually escalate during a parliamentary recess?
I’ve a feeling the knives will be out shortly.

Shows how angry Bozo was at not being able to save his mate Owen Patterson. All he did was accept a brown envelope for asking a couple of questions in the House. And get caught. You have to admire Bozo's loyalty.

ToraToraTora,
This was on a different thread:
//we run our own show we make out own laws. We got our vaccination program off the ground with Brussels read tape. \\
Do brush up a bit old chap.

Just ease off on the slingshot, it’ll stop you looking……well, you know…..or maybe it’s a bit too late for that?
5C? Not at all, I’m a Tory back-bencher, don’t you see that?

Lol, well my spellings bad, so I dont normally mention spelling mistakes by others if I notice them, and why should I .... but I couldn't help notice the irony here that Fatticusinch has a go at Toratoratora's spelling but then spells 'ad nauseum' wrong.

Lol, night night Gramps.
One can always tell when TTT is on the ropes .
When he says ....."have a day off" ....then you know you have thrashed him, and he goes skulking away to his corner seat.
bob, most with any sense don't generally talk about spelling and grammar because we all do it, there is no edit facility and sometimes you bash out an answer and miss the errors. The only time it comes up is when someone is getting battered intellectually and just feels that's the only way they can get a dig in.
Question Author
I did wonder about that Bobbinwales because it didn’t look right, yet it shows as a suggestive word in the 3 boxes above when I’m typing?
A quick check shows that it’s not even Americanised like ToraToraTora’s word ‘program’ so I’m at a loss to explain it.
Maybe it’s why I don’t bang on about ‘we use English on this site’ when I’m posting, unlike some when they’re looking to harangue and belittle when in defence of The Gigantic Liar, because I assume that’s what TGL is the acronym for?
Question Author
You generally find that when one is getting battered intellectually one retorts with lefty, 5C and you lot.
It’s the last bastion of the vanquished.

The Tories are finally realising that they need to act post-haste in order to save themselves but the general feeling is that it is probably already too late. They need the likes of Mark Harper and Tobias Ellwood to come to the fore in buckets, it’s their one chance to salvage some credibility.
They know that the changing of the ministerial code is nothing less than an admission of guilt from a Prime Minister eroding democracy, accountability and integrity right in front of our eyes.

so you'll back that with your own money then?
The government have done everything right in managing multiple crises since 2019. All the pygmies can see in front of them is the trivia of party gate etc. What about all the big ticket items they have got bang on? Can you imagine the state we'd be in if Abacus and Cobstello had won in 2019?
Question Author
27 Tory MP’s don’t see Partygate as trivia, obviously, but when you’re a proven liar you’re bound to be hounded for the truth after being so evasive and vague. The polls and news reports show that the country don’t either.

As for the big ticket items, read and inwardly digest these links.

Where’s your documentary evidence to the contrary?
Furthermore, he’s definitely on notice and knows it.

From Best Answer. //Boris Johnson is by far Labour’s best chance of winning the next general election//

What a sad indictment of the Labour Party. Their dependence upon the perceived unpopularity of their opponent to gain popularity themselves demonstrates that they really have nothing to offer. Do any of you Labour supporters ever really think about what you’re writing?
Question Author
The problem is that they don’t need to have much to offer.
The public are so fed up of lies, damned lies and the cost of living crisis statistics that they’ll happily see anyone with an ounce of integrity and credibility given a crack at it.
Boris Johnson has dragged the Conservative party to their lowest standing in decades, maybe ever and the Tory party faithful have realised it. Take a look around at all the media and poll evidence.
The Prime Minister is now perceived to have no redeeming features whatsoever and the backbenchers know that he’s put them on a doomed trajectory.
The opposition parties don’t need to do anything, Boris Johnson is doing their job for them. Even you must realise that? Oh hang on, you clearly don’t.
It's naomi's job not to realise stuff. I doubt the wages are great though.
//they don’t need to have much to offer//

Really? So you’ll get an impotent, useless, directionless government that will no doubt lead the country into dire straits as Labour always does - and all because you want some sort of twisted ‘revenge’ on a man, although like the rest of us, not perfect, has seen us through an unprecedented period of struggle in our history. That’s clever. You really don’t think at all do you - and it shows.
Question Author
Nom,
//Really? So you’ll get an impotent, useless, directionless government that will no doubt lead the country into dire straits as Labour always does//

Lol, whereas the current bunch are a bastion of truth, competence and credibility? Take a look back at the links proving that the government got all the big calls wrong, all they did was line the pockets of their mates whilst writing off a jaw-dropping amount of Covid fraud and were exposed as having more ties to the Russians than Jeremy Corbyn could ever dream of!
Do you believe in the tooth fairy too?
Fatti, //Do you believe in the tooth fairy too?//

No - but you do.
