...anyone could see what would happen, I won't be going anywhere for a year hopefully by then the airlines etc would have sorted their staffing issues. You'd have to be radio rental to try and get away now.

//Why do so many Brits want to escape, from the UK .// Same old drivel about Brexit gulliver. People did go abroad on holiday, mainly for the sun , before Brexit you know. In fact you left the country before Brexit. Being in the EU then cant of made it such a good place to live then ?

2 Years ago, in 2020, we were due to have a holiday in Shaldon(Teignmouth Devon). Lovely little cottage overlooking the estuary and 20 yards from the little ferry across to Teignmouth. It was concelled due to you know what and at the time we took up the option to rebook immediately. We rebooked from 4th June to 11 th of June and adopted out patience superpower mindset and waited. In the meanwhile Jubilee plans were laid and I had a bit of a medical issue. We, sadly, in February this year had to cancel or risk losing a considerable wedge and forfeiting our insurance claim(pesky clauses) in case I was dead, unwell, in hospital or unable to travel. The hospital was very sketchy with precise dates for the op I had and indeed cancelled it the first time with about 16 hours notice. I am now in headlong recovery mode and well enough to travel and enjoy myself. We should have been travelling this Friday. You can imagine how glad we are not to be anywhere near the M5 on Friday, and after 3 months of cursing our luck now realise that we had a fortunate serious of events that saved us a day or more of hell in the mad traffic. It would no doubt be rammed down there and then we had a journey back to consider. Sooo glad to be home and we will spend the petrol money on Fillet Steak, Lobster, a good bottle of Malbec, and one of Sauvignon Blanc from the Loire valley. We can raise a glass to Her Majesty and enjoy the sunshine at home.
