As far as I'm concerned, YMB, "news related" posts belong in 'News', 'Current Affairs' or 'Politics' unless they're clearly posted just for humour, rather than to start political arguments. (e.g. a link to a news item about a man having an unusual object removed from his bum might well fit into CB, as it's only posted to give people a bit of a laugh. However political stuff belongs elsewhere).

Yeah, I complained, it was in news and wasn't news, in 24 hours it may have been suitable.

It wasn't the content it was the location, Chatterbank or Jokes would have been a better place.
