Yeah but May was mucking up by capitulating to the EU, she had to go. Boris merely was present at something which certain folk considered allowed under the law and others didn't. Hardly a reason to get him out.

Just as they planned to with May, yes, but she fell on her sword before they got to it. This is the party you give your undying support to.

well I would be giving it to Labour would I! PMSL!
I thought it was the left who were the poltroons? Or can’t you make your mind up?
As I’ve said elsewhere, the irony is that a week after the PM changed the ministerial code to suit his own ends, the 1922 Committee are now doing the same in order to speed his exit.
Doncha just lurve democracy? Lol

Who knew there were so many 5C lefties in the Tory back benches?
Question Author
where have I said that fatticus? you really should try and read what people actually write rather that making up stories. You sound like what you accuse the PM of. The Poltroons are the ones who don't have the guts to back their leader over trivia in the face of all the big ticket items he has got right,
Question Author
The 5C, by definition are the remoaners and I think you'll find that it's mostly those that voted agin.
^
As it was a secret ballot, we'll never know, ttt.
Question Author
I know ken. The remoaners are dedicated in their treachery. This is a chance for them to get a remoaner into no 10.
I read that all but two of the people who sent letters are Remainers.
If you read that I wonder who knows what MP's voted in a secret ballot.

Or is it not true?
Question Author
YMB remoaners are clearly using this as an opportunity.
I presume that if anyone can be bothered - and I can't - the leanings of those who sent letters can be checked. Their names are in the public domain.
Here's a list of all who put letters in. Can't be arissed trawling through their bios to determine their stance on Brexit, but just a quick read through some of their statements would indicate many have been with Johnson all the way until now.

ttt; "I know ken." No you don't, ttt.

Naomi; i was typing as you posted.
The number of letters received hasn't been revealed, let alone who all sent them so the claim that all but two are Remainers is only speculation.
The vast majority ( 170) of those who made a vote of confidence in Boris are on his pay role. Gosh, that's a lot of brown envelopes Admin are going to have to fill today.
Thanks Ken. I was just about to post that for Corby's information.
I cannot read the article, how many MPs are on that list?
"Poltroons", good word, not often heard.
Some Abers have the inside track.

Apparently. :-)

Lol, still as deluded as ever over Partygate.
If it’s so trivial, why didn’t he call a snap election to prove ‘he has the backing of the British people who want us to get on and do the job’?
The only thing they want is for him to do one.
