The 5C that want us to be ruled from Brussels v those that don't. Surely even they must see that if we tried to rejoin the conditions would be prohibitive even for them, there is no going back. Why are these pygmies so determined that we are ruled from our former enemies abroad?

148 Elected Tory MPs are fifth columnists?

More like 148 Conservative MPs are worried about having a job in two years time, and see their prospects improved if they have a leader who is not a discredited liability.
This has absolutely nothing to do with the EU, and if you believe it is, you are more deluded than he is.

gromit: "148 Elected Tory MPs are fifth columnists? " - well by definition remoaners are 5C and most of those that voted against the PM will be remoaners. Not rocket is it?
It will be fun watching Boris campaigning in Wakefield - if he dares. The booing will be deafening ;-)
// most of those that voted against the PM will be remoaners //

It was a secret ballot. No one knows who voted against Boris. Are you claiming that the Conservative Party is still deeply divided over the EU 6 years after the referendum?
"by definition remoaners are 5C" you mean by YOUR definition.

gromit: "Are you claiming that the Conservative Party is still deeply divided over the EU 6 years after the referendum? " - by Jove I think he's got it!
This EU nonsense is a smokescreen.

Boris is a lousy Prime Minister. He lost the respect of the voters very quickly after his record landslide, and his own MPs have picked up on that from their constituents.
He is not helped by his personality flaws - arrogance, untruthfulness, bullying and lack of clarity.
// the Conservative Party is still deeply divided over the EU //

Why would anyone in Wakefield, or in the Country in 2 years time, vote for that ?
//This EU nonsense is a smokescreen. //

No, Gromit, it's exactly what it's all about. The partygate nonsense is the smokescreen.
The Tories have always been divided on the EU. Clearly Brexit has not changed that.
The truth of the matter is that Boris was elected for one thing: to get Brexit done. Now he's done that, it's been discovered (rather inevitably) that he is utterly incompetent at running the country in general. 148 members of his own party have realised that, the others are still trying to flog the dead horse Boris now is.

The best thing the Tories can do is get rid before they fracture in the same way Labour have done over recent years.
Lame Duck.

The Tory loving Daily Express:

// The Prime Minister may not be able to hold on to office for much longer as his approval rating has taken a major hit in recent weeks and months.

The monthly poll last published on May 30 found his approval rating now stands at minus 15.

However, the most recent finding by Conservative Home is not the Prime Minister’s lowest ever popularity score, having previously stood at a record low of -34. //

mozz: "Now he's done that, it's been discovered (rather inevitably) that he is utterly incompetent at running the country in general." - Rubbish, he's had nothing but crises since he was elected, he's done a great job on the big ticket items. This is just vindictive pettiness over trivia. Trivia that has affected both the main parties BTW. The remoaners are using this as a chance to get one of their own into no 10 so they can go begging to Brussels to be let back in at any costs. That's what's occurring.
the EU are not our enemies. And people who wanted to stay in the EU (which let's face it was ALL the major political parties, plus nearly half of people who voted in the referendum) are not Fifth columnists or pygmies

But why would anyone want to be ruled by another country bednobs, I don't understand.
TTT
You just pip Boris for being the most deluded. Paranoid even.
Most Tories are deeply embarrassed by 28,000 illegal immigrants. But you seem to have quickly forgotten that fiasco, in your eagerness to show your fanboy credentials.

the PM is not in charge of people smuggling gromit. We are stymied by our own laws and the TROB prannies on that one, the solution is obvious but no one seems to want to implement it.
Blame the 5C and the lefties all you want, the instigator of the civil war is Johnson, by his actions, evasion, governance and allowing his entourage to do as they pleased in lockdown.
The situation is entirely of his own making.

Our former enemies? Are you still stuck in 1942? Lol. In case you missed it, WW2 is over.
The Conservatives have been in power for 12 years. They have had plenty of time to ditch any laws they don’t like. So to blame Johnson’s incompetence on being stymied by the by law is lame - they make the law !!
